Operation Christmas Child: We will be collecting small items to fill shoe boxes to be delivered by Samaritan's Purse to children all over the world at Christmas. If we all pitch in and purchase a few small items we will be able to fill several boxes. (You can find a list of appropriate gifts and more information about Operation Christmas Child on their website.) We will sort and wrap our boxes at the November 15 meeting. Take time to watch the video together as a family and begin praying about the children we will be reaching.

Chapter Reporting: Thank you for doing such a great job recording your platforms on our Platform Recording form! If you have any last minute platforms to report, please enter them no later than October 14 so we have time to process them before the October 15 deadline.

Chapter Dinner:  NEXT WEEK from 6:30 - 7:30pm we will have time to visit and get to know each other in a more relaxed setting. We will also be able to watch some of our students present pieces they have been working on.  So bring the whole family, enjoy a potluck dinner, great company and wonderful entertainment.

Each family will bring a main dish and their own table service. In addition, those with last names from A - L are to bring a side dish and those from M - Z are to bring a dessert. Drinks will be provided.

There is a kitchen downstairs with an oven if you need to bake something or keep it warm. Crock pots are also a good choice. Please RSVP to Tracee - Traceesteatime@hotmail.com - or contact for more information.

Chapter Snapshot: You all did a great job tonight while filming our snapshot - and you looked good too! We will continue filming next week so please dress appropriately again. (Can't you wait to see those bloopers??)

Young Speakers Guild Homework (YSG) ages 11-18yrs

1.  For those who are just beginning YSG, please read through the introduction pages and mark them on the Tracking Log. You can find the YSG Links under Resources. We will be discussing P3 + R3 = C3 next week!

2.  Take time this week thinking about where you see yourself in 5 years, in 10 years, 25 years and 50 years! Be ready to present your goals for the future in two minutes like you have the last two weeks. Maybe draw a picture of yourself:)
